One does not simply walk into St Pancras
Cinema’s most commonly killed actor has provided a passionate voiceover for the trailer of TS2014, ahead of the game’s release this week.
The normal logic would be that if you’re not immediately interested in the idea of a train simulator you probably never will be, but if there’s one thing that’s likely to win over the undecided it’s probably the trailer below.
It doesn’t actually show any gameplay (you can find that here) but it does get very excited about the mere concept of trains and their being the ‘unappreciated backbone of a nation’.
According to the press release the game gives players, ‘the chance to customise not only the collection of trains that they want to control, but the way in which they want to play. You might be a driver, who likes to be firmly at the helm of the train, learning every inch of the railways and the stations, knowing the inclines, declines and speed limits and guiding it safely to its destination.’
‘Or perhaps you’re a passenger and your passion lies in choosing the routes you love to travel and seeing the landscapes and scenery from the comfort of the cabin. ‘
And if you thought GTA Online was worrying in its use of microtransactions the game has ‘over 100’ pieces of downloadable content. Yikes.
